Services
We conduct home inspections in the greater Omaha area, including:
Blair, Fremont, Arlington, Gretna, and Ashland, NE. and also, in Council Bluffs, and Glenwood, IA. Call for rates outside
these communities.
WHAT WILL I CHECK DURING THE INSPECTION?
ROOF
- including roofing materials, vents, flashings, chimneys, gutters and downspouts.
EXTERIOR - I will assess
the condition of siding, trim, brick veneers, soffits and fascias.
INTERIOR - I will operate windows and doors,
inspect floor coverings, ceilings, walls, handrails, smoke detectors.
PLUMBING - I will operate all faucets and
fixtures, bathtubs, and showers, and use a moisture meter to ensure non-visible traps, shower pans, and wax gaskets are leak-free.
MECHANICAL
SYSTEMS - I will operate heating and air-conditioning systems, (as weather permits), and perform combustible gas leak
tests for all natural gas or propane appliances.
ELECTRICAL - I will inspect the main service panel for correct
wire sizes and check for proper bonding and grounding. Branch outlets are also examined.
STRUCTURAL - Attic structure,
ventilation, insulation, mold activity. Basement foundations are inspected for moisture content, cracking, bowing, and displacement.
Crawlspaces are inspected also, where a minimum of 18" clearance is available.
